The good news and the bad news

I had a trip this morning and the weather was perfect, That’s the good news. We were on the backside of Fishers when the lower unit on the motor blew. That’s the bad news. We got towed back to the dock in a very timely manner thanks to Tow Boat US. That’s the good news. I had to go back home to pick up the trailer and take it to Westbrook. That’s the bad news. I made it there safely and the repairs will be covered by warranty, that’s the good news. As I was backing the trailer into a parking spot one of the axels snapped. That too is the bad news. They will be able to put the boat on blocks and take the trailer to a shop for an overhaul while they repair the engine.  I was planning to do that anyway.So that’s still good news.If it happened 10 minutes earlier it would have been on Rt. 95 and I would have been on the Six O’clock news. That would have been more bad news. Now I’m home for the week and am about to make an adult beverage and that’s the good news.
